How To Cancel a Disney Plus Subscription

The cancellation process differs depending on your billing source. If you’ve purchased the subscription directly from Disney Plus, you can cancel it as explained below:

  1. Sign into your Disney Plus account on a mobile or computer browser.
  2. Tap or click your profile, then Account.
  3. Select your subscription under the Subscription section.
  4. Tap or click Cancel Subscription.
  5. Provide a reason for cancellation and complete the process.

You should know that canceling your subscription won’t remove your Disney Plus or Disney account. If you want your name, email address, and other personal information erased from the platform, you must delete your account within your account settings.

To cancel a Disney Plus subscription on Google Play, Apple App Store, Amazon, or Roku, you should follow the instructions provided by that specific platform.

How To Cancel Disney Plus on an iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Can You Cancel Disney Plus Anytime?

Yes—you can cancel your Disney Plus subscription or free trial whenever you want to. Automatic payments will cease starting the following billing period, and you’ll have access to the service until the end of the current billing cycle.

Although not required, it’s advisable to stop the subscription at least a few days before the renewal date. That way, the company has enough time to process your cancellation request, and you can avoid potentially having to pay for another month of services. Note that Disney Plus won’t notify you when your free trial comes to an end, so you should mark that date in your calendar to avoid a subscription renewal.

Can You Cancel Your Yearly Disney Plus Subscription?

Yes, you can cancel a Disney+ subscription even if you paid for one year. The cancellation process for an annual Disney Plus subscription is the same as for the monthly one. However, keep in mind there’s no Disney Plus refund for annual subscription plans. 

This means that if you decide to cancel your Disney Plus subscription in the middle of your contracted year, you won’t receive a refund for the remaining months. You'll continue to have access to the service until your current billing cycle ends.

Can You Cancel Disney Plus and Get a Refund?

You can cancel Disney Plus and get a refund in certain circumstances. Typically, you're eligible for a Disney Plus refund if you cancel within seven days after subscribing to the service. If you purchased your subscription directly from Disney Plus, you can request a refund by contacting customer support via chat, live chat, or phone. Follow the same steps as above, but select Resume Subscription instead of Pause Subscription for your billing cycle to resume as usual.
